The annual Holiday Angel Tree is hosted for children who have lost their parent(s) and is done to normalize grief for families during the holiday season.  Each child who participates has an opportunity to submit their gift “wish list” and, through the generosity of individuals and businesses in the community, receives gifts from their list in addition to experiencing the event itself.  Year after year, it has truly been a wonderful experience!

 

This program offers so much, by way of emotional support and connection, for the children and families who participate.  There are many ways to support this annual event:

• Sign up a child who has lost a parent and would like to be involved (or share the information with the child’s guardian)

• Sponsor a child by shopping for gifts on their wish list

• Make a financial donation toward the event and/or gifts

• Help with gift wrapping in the weeks leading up to the event

• Assist with tasks on the day of the event
